Debating on whether or not I should go to Pittsburgh Pride on the 16th or work…. decisions, decisions.
Day 8 - What do you think the closet or being closeted means to you?
I have no idea how to answer this question considering I’m still semi-closeted.
Day 7 - How your parents took it or how you think they might take it
My mom took it very well. She was always vocal & open minded when it came to gay/lesbian rights. We’ve had long talks about it and it always comes back to her stating that ‘Its your life & you shouldn’t live it for anyone else.’ When I came out to her she simply told me to be myself. When I asked if she was mad at me she said ‘You can’t live your life on what I think even if I did have a problem with it. I lived my life. Live yours.”
I haven’t come out to my dad yet. I’m not sure how he’s gonna take it. Probably not well at all since he has since expressed his views on homosexuality as negative. Not looking forward to it at all.
